Passing through several years of severe suffering and enduring it all patiently, Mrs. Sarah A. Bowersox, wife of D.C. Bowersox, sweetly fell asleep in Jesus, June 12, 1900, at her home southwest of Belleville - aged 49 years, 2 months and 4 days. Her maiden name was Sarah A. Reed. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, and married in Oct. 1868. In March, 1871, they took up their residence, where, for twenty-nine years they lived happily together and she died peacefully in the presence of her husband and only child, Elmer, and his wife and other devoted friends. She was a sincere and devoted believer in Jesus, a member of the M.E. Church, and a distrubuter of sunshine to all who needed comfort and blessings. The funeral services took place at the residence, in presence of a large assembly, and were conducted by M.M. Eshelman.
