Gilbert L. "Gib" Pinter, 80, of 410 N. Central Ave., Ladd died at 1:35 p.m. Feb. 2, 1998, in St. Margaret's Hospital, Spring Valley, where he was a patient for three weeks. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Hurst Funeral Home, Ladd, with the Rev. Janet Sills of the Ladd Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park, Spring Valley.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
He was born Feb. 15, 1917, in Ladd, to Gustav and Katherine (Leyes) Pinter. He married Lena Bartoluzzi May 24, 1941.
He retired from the Bureau Service Co. in Princeton in 1983. He also had worked as a blacksmith in his younger days.
He was a member and had been a deacon of the Ladd Presbyterian Church. He had served two terms as an alderman in Ladd and was a member of the Ladd Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Lena; three sons, Lester (Susan) Pinter of Biloxi, Miss., Gary (Beth) Pinter of Spring Valley; and Alan (Karleen) Pinter of Spring Valley; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and four brothers.
Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
