Donald F. Holscher, age 79, formerly of North Platte, passed away November 30, 2012 in Overland Park, Kansas. He was born September 23, 1933 in Unadilla, Nebraska to Adolf and Neva McDaniel Holscher.
On June 19, 1960 he married Gerayne "Gerre" Swanson in Lincoln, NE. Don was a school counselor with the North Platte Public Schools. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Don loved to golf, enjoyed following local sporting events and spending time with his granddaughters.
Survivors include a daughter, Jill (Rick) Titus of Aurora, NE; three granddaughters, Ali (Trevor) Roenfeldt of Omaha, Dani and Jaime Titus both of Aurora; and a brother, Gerald (LoRayne) Holscher of Lincoln, NE.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gerre.
Memorials may be made in his name and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Douglas Delp officiating. Burial will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell with military honors graveside. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
