Mrs. T. F. Zimmerman died Saturday noon at the Lake Region Hospital, death being due to a stroke and complications incident to her age.
Katherine Sofia Wasmuth was born June 17, 1874 at Roda, Germany. At the age of 16, she came to this country, settling in this vicinity. On Dec 5, 1901 she was married to Thomas F. Zimmerman. They lived on a farm north of Elizabeth until 1910 when they retired and moved to the present home at 617 North Union. They celebrated their Golden wedding in 1951.
Mrs. Zimmerman was a kind and loving wife and mother, who will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was a faithful member of the Evangelical United Brethren church of this city.
Surviving are two sons, Arthur of Bismarck, ND, and Charles of Fergus Falls, Mrs. Joe Naegeli (Lillian) Stockton, CA; Mrs. Elma Mitchel, Iron River, WI; Mrs. Mae Vorachek, Garrison, ND; Mrs. Jess Willard (Irene) of Compton, CA; and Miss Edna Zimmerman, Casper, WY; two brothers, John Wasmuth and Conrad Wasmuth, both of Fergus Falls and one sister, Mrs. Peter Binzer of Roda, German. There are also 23 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren surviving, besides many other relatives and a host of friends.
Her husband and one son Harry, preceded her in death.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 2 p.m. from the Evangelical United Brethren Church, the Rev. Don Howard officiating. Interment will be at the cemetery north of Elizabeth. Friends may call at the Glende-Johnson Funeral Home.
