Twyla Mary Warnken, was born on September 29, 1934 in Victoria, KS, to Acquiline and Agatha (Rohleder) Dreiling.
At age 5, she moved with her parents and siblings to Ellinwood, KS, where she resided until her marriage.
On August 18, 1956, she married Donald Warnken in St. Josephs Catholic Church in Ellinwood, KS. They lived in several localities until 1962 when they moved to Tulsa.
She is survived by: her loving husband, Donald; sons, Dean of Cario, Eygpt, David of Tulsa and Duane of Phoenix, AZ; daughter-in-law, Monica; and granddaughter, Jessica. She is also survived by: her brothers, Marvin and Harold Dreiling; and many nieces and nephews. In addition, she is survived by her brothers-in-law, Gary and John Warnken and Jon Crowdus; and sisters-in-law, Judy Warnken, Charlene Scott, Sharon Taylor, Marlene Crowdus and Thelma Dreiling.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, and her brother, Kenneth.
She has now departed this life to join them in eternal life with our Heavenly Father. Twyla dearly loved being a mother. She unselfishly gave her time to participate in all of her children's activities. Twyla was always involved in some activity because she simply loved meeting and talking to people. All who knew her also loved her. She was active with her husband in the Tulsa Elks Lodge where she was known with affection as the Lady who always remembered everyone's birthdays and other special days, as well as the beautiful sonnets she composed.
Rosary, 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel. A funeral Mass will be held for her at Saint Pius X Church. Service will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 16, and burial will be at Memorial Park.
