Married to Evelyn L. Reed on 1-17-1943 at Aurora, NE.
In 1961, Glen went to work for the Farmers Co-op Association at the elevator in Hordville. He remained with them for twenty-five years, retiring in 1986. After his retirement, Glen worked for area farmers and at the Aurora Mall. He served on the District 61 school board, was a 4-H Leader with the Busy Beaver Beef Club, and was a volunteer fireman for the Hordville Volunteer Fire Department. Glen was Santa Claus for the Hordville community for many years.
Survived by his wife, Evelyn of Aurora; three sons-Dale and his wife Pat of Central City; Larry and his wife Karen of Basset; and Don and his wife Cheryl of Hampton; seven grandchildren-Ron and Krista Carlson, Tami and Dan Scamehorn, Mike and Teri Carlson, Laurie and Jesse Plock, Chad Carlson, Wendy Carlson, and Heather and Brian Hauptman; and ten great grandchildren; one sister-Erma Habe of Ravenna and one brother-Gerald Carlson of Lincoln; many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant brothers.
