Elmer Thomas Brendt of 815 Miles Ave., Billings, Montana a tire recapper and service station employee died Tuesday after surgury in Deaconess Hosptial. He lived in Billings since 1967 and had been employeed at Nu-Tred Tire Company and later at a service station until poor health forced his retirement in September. Prayer services will be at 3pm Saturday at Smiths funeral chapel with burial at the Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. Brendt had been a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City, Montana and a member of the Moose Lodge for more than 25 years. He was born April 7, 1916 in Herreid, South Dakota and moved to Miles City in 1938 he worked as a Tire Recapper there and in Fort Pierre, South Dakota after 1958 until he returned to Miles City in 1963 and moved to Billings 3 years later.
Survivors include for son's Dale, of Yakima, Washington, Joesph of Sturgus, South Dakota, Bernard a Navy Yomen who's in Naples, Italy, and Edward Amry Spec 4, at Fort Riley Kansas. 2 daughters Mrs. Calvin Saucerman, of Midland, South Dakota and Dallas Reddi, of Butte, Montana. 5 sisters, Mrs. Bud Bailey of Tempe, AZ., Mrs. Kelmer Remmi of Luverne, Minnasota., Mrs. Leroy Lewis, of Phoenix, AZ., Mrs. Clyde Fore 2145 Bench Ave., Billings, Montana and Mrs. Violet Caudill, of 815 Miles Ave., Billings and 14 Grandchildren.
