EVANS, Viola Lenora (Frey) passed away peacefully on November 20, 2015, with her family at her side. Born April 13, 1924 in New Leipzig, North Dakota, to Elizabeth (Holhalter) and John Frey. She was 9th of 13 children. At age six, her family moved from New Leipzig to the Spokane Valley.
Viola married Raymond C. Evans in 1943. Raymond and Viola were married for 57 years. They have four children: Elizabeth "Raenette" (Mike) Sparlin, Douglas, Danny C. (Linda), Pamela (George) Roybal. Viola has seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister Olivia and brother Johnny.
Viola worked for Eastern State Hospital for several years, until her retirement in 1989. Viola loved flowers. She was an avid gardener, she also loved to sew and do crafts. Her passion was her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond; granddaughter Karla Sue and several of her siblings.
Viola was greatly loved by her family and will never be forgotten. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, on January 9, 2016, at Redeemer Lutheral Church, 3606 S. Schafer Rd. Spokane Valley, WA.
