Enterprise, UT:
Lyman Emery Huntsman, a devoted husband, first to Nancy K. Shepherd of 25 years and then to Marie Matheson Huntsman of 25 years and father of 12 children, 38 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren passed away November 1, 2012 at the age of 71 from brain cancer at his home in Enterprise, Utah, surrounded by his family.
Lyman was raised in Enterprise, Utah and graduated from Enterprise High School class of 59, where he served as student body president. He attended BYU for a year (staying a "True Cougar Fan" all of his life) before coming back home to Enterprise, Utah to start raising a family. Lyman is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings; High Council, Ward and Stake Financial Clerk, but teaching was his favorite calling. He served on the Washington County School Foundation Board and also was a board member and president for Dixie Escalante Power Company. He was a farmer and a business man owning his own farm, ranch, trucking company and pellet plant, but farming and ranching were Lyman's passion and livelihood. It was on the farm that he taught his children how to work and see a job through to the end. Many of life's lessons were taught out on the farm. Lyman loved to get out on a dirt road and just see where it would take him.
Lyman is survived by his wife Marie Mathesen Huntsman, children: Karen H. Woods (Colin), Kelly H. Derrick (Mark), Lanni H. Graf (Jonathan), Pamela H. Mahler (William), Wade Huntsman (Angel), Brian Huntsman (Jessie), Lara H. Brown (Russ), Shannon H. Richmond (Bret), David Huntsman (Megan), Jenny H. Pickering (Matt), Celisa H. Zimbelman (Aaron), Allen Huntsman, father Leland Huntsman (age 103), sisters: MaryAnn Barlow, Kay Schmutz, Lori Huntsman, and brother Nick Huntsman.
