Services for Florence "Flo" Eva Lehr, 65, Aberdeen, are Friday, July 20, 2007 at Zion Lutheran Church, Pastor Tanya Rist officiating. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens. Florence died Sunday, July 15, at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen.
Visitation at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home.
Florence "Flo" Ketterling was born on June 5, 1942 to Albert and Eva (Meidinger) Ketterling in Cass County, ND. She was baptized on July 5, 1942 at Casselton, ND. Her family moved to the Wishek, ND area and she attended rural schools. She graduated from Ashley High School in 1960. In 1962, Flo graduated from the School of Practical Nursing at Mitchell, SD receiving her license as a LPN. Flo worked at St. Luke's Hospital, Aberdeen from 1962-1964.
Flo married Ervin "Erv" Lehr on August 17, 1963 at Aberdeen. They moved to Ashley, ND where Flo worked at McIntosh County Memorial Hospital from 1964 to 1971. In 1971, they moved to Aberdeen where she worked at Dakota Midland Hospital until it merged with St. Luke's in 1988. From 1988-1997 she worked at Worthmore. In 1997, Flo began work at Bethesda Towne Square and accepted the position of assistant coordinator in 2004.
Flo was a member of Zion Lutheran Church since 1971. She enjoyed gardening and traveling with friends and family. She had a great love for her family and friends. She was a very gifted person. Flo was a caring person who touched many lives through her 45 years of nursing.
Grateful for having shared Flo's life are her three sons, Donald Lehr, Sioux Falls, SD, Bruce (Denise) Lehr, South Webber, UT, Mark (Sherie) Lehr, New Market, MN; three grandchildren, Cydney, Connor, and Erin; brother, Arthur (Alice) Ketterling, Wishek, ND; brother- in-laws, Reuben (Eileen) Lehr, Rapid City, SD, Allen (Betty) Lehr, Aberdeen, Robert (Mary Ellen) Lehr, Mina, SD; sister-in-laws, Marion Lehr, Aberdeen, and Sharon Lehr, Houghton; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ervin, who died in April, 2004, parents, and several brother-in-laws.
