Eva Zenker, 87, Wishek, N.D., formerly Streeter, N.D., died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at Wishek Home for the Aged, Wishek.
Eva Morlock was born Nov. 9, 1921, on her parents' farm near Gackle, N.D., the daughter of Christ and Fredericka (Stockburger) Morlock. She grew up in the Gackle area and attended school at the Neudorf and Ketterling Township schools. She married Harold Zenker on April 20, 1944, at his parents' farm near Gackle. They lived on the farm south of Streeter until 1977, when they moved to Streeter. He died July 20, 1982. She was employed by the Streeter School for 10 years and the Streeter Senior Citizens for six years. In 1999, she moved to Napoleon, N.D. In 2005, she moved into Wishek Home for the Aged. She was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church, Streeter.
She is survived by a son, Darold (DeLoris), Mandan, N.D.; three daughters, Marilyn Zins, Bismarck, N.D., Marcella (Gene) Horner, Wishek, and Marlene (Gary) Grosz, Bismarck; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, her parents, a son-in-law, Ed Zins, two brothers, three sisters, and a great-grandson.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, St. Lukes Lutheran Church, Streeter, with the Rev. Chris Hogstad officiating.
Prayer service: 7 p.m. Thursday, Haut Funeral Homes, Gackle.
Visitation: 5 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Haut Funeral Chapel, Gackle.
Burial: Lutheran Cemetery, Streeter.
