Pauline Beglau, 98, Jamestown, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at Central Dakota Village, Jamestown.
Pauline Remboldt was born Aug. 28, 1906, 3 1/2 miles northeast of Gackle, N.D., the daughter of John and Justine (Lang) Remboldt. She received her elementary education in the local rural school and later attended Sheyenne River Academy, Harvey, N.D. She grew up in the area and helped on the family farm. She married Gotthilf "Slim" Beglau on Nov. 5, 1928, in Jamestown. They lived on a farm north of Alfred, N.D., for several years before moving into Alfred. In 1940, they moved back to the farm where they farmed. In 1977, they built a house in Gackle. They enjoyed traveling. He died in 1989. She later moved to Jamestown, before moving to Rock of Ages and Roseadele. She moved to Central Dakota Village in January 2005. She was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church, Gackle, and later, Jamestown. She was a Sabbath school teacher and enjoyed playing piano, quilting and entertaining.
She is survived by five sisters-in-law, Alma Remboldt, Lodi, Calif., Tillie Remboldt and Florence Beglau, both Jamestown, Donna Remboldt, Granite Falls, Wash., and Rebecca Beglau, Bismarck, N.D.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Emil, Aaron, and Art; a stepmother; and a half brother, Erwin.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Haut Funeral Chapel, Gackle, with Pastor Dave Stuart officiating.
Visitation: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Haut Funeral Homes, Jamestown, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Haut Funeral Homes, Gackle.
