Paul A. Remboldt, 63, Vergas, Minn., died Dec. 2, 2007, near his home in Vergas. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo.
Paul A. Remboldt was born Oct. 23, 1944, in Jamestown, the son of Archie and Irene (Clark) Remboldt. He attended Jamestown Elementary School and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1962. Paul went on to attend Jamestown College from 1962 to 1966, and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in sociology.
Paul was employed with Richland County Social Services from 1966 to 1968. In 1970, he received his master's degree in social work from Arizona State University. Paul went to work for the Jamestown State Hospital and South Central Human Service Center. He joined Southeast Human Service Center in Fargo in 1984. In 1995, Paul worked as assistant professor of social work for UND School of Social Work in Grand Forks. He retired on May 2, 2007.
Paul is survived by his sisters, Sharon (Tom) Elhard, Galt, Calif., and Sandy (Bob) Peterson, Lodi, Calif.; his brother, David (Kathy) Remboldt, Mandan; his nieces and nephews, Greg Allen Elhard and Beth Goehring, Sacramento, Calif., Sara Larson, Stockton, Calif., Ron Peterson, Kenya, Nathan Remboldt, Aurora, Colo., and Krista Remboldt, Riverside, Calif.; his aunt, Mary (Clark) Wehmhofer, Bismarck; his great-nieces and great-nephews; and many special friends.
Memorials are preferred to the Paul Remboldt Scholarship Endowment at Jamestown College
