Here is some Bibelheimer History submitted by Henry F. Bibelheimer of Drake, ND:
The Bibelheimer family exited Germany when Adam Bibelheimer left Framershein in about 1786. He apparently lost his wife enroute, and, married a Magdalena who apparently had a daughter from a previous mariage. They transited Vienna before continuing their journey down the Danube. They settled in a village Tchevanka, Batchka Region, Hungary(referred to as Ungarn in German). In 1804, a group of persons departed that village for south Russia, and settled the district and town of Grossliebental. They reported back to their friends in Tchervanka that their trip was both successful and worth while, and, so in 1805 our Adam Bibelheimer and his family made the journey, and, settled the town of Peterstal. My expectation is that Adam either did not survivie the trip, or died shortly after arriving in south Russia (Peterstal is about 25 miles west of Odessa Russia).
His two sons, Jacob and Adam, ended up in the Jacob Martin family. Adam was single, and about 15 at the time of the migration, but, Jacob was 18, and married to Anna ??. Jacob and Anna had a son Heinrich who was born in 1822, and lived until his death in 1893 in Peterstal. Jacob had 5 sons and 2 daughters. His son, Heinrich, born in 1845, married Katherina Hirning, who was also born in 1845, when they were both 21, which would have been in 1866. My grandfather, Henry, was born in 1874.
In 1890, Heinrich, with his wife and 8 children departed Bessarabia, and, arrived in New York on April 15 on the SS Werra. They made their way to Eureka, SD, and settled on a homestead in north eastern Walworth County, South Dakota.
