  Jeff George Augustin: Notes: The origninal ranch house at Page, burned to the ground right after Emma's wedding. (After March 1911). According to Jule, she was in school and could see the fire from the school house. The school was located on a hill close to the ranch house. During the fire the male members of the house managed to save the downstairs furniture. She indicated that the fire started because Grandma put too much against the chimmny in the attic. Jule said she was asked to take care of Walt and Eddie while the boys emptied the first floor. Jule said that the family lived in a tent while the house was being rebuilt.
