Herbert P. Pfalzgraff, 74, Sedgwick, formerly of Loveland, died February 28, at Logan County Hospital in Sterling. He was born December 18, 1911, in Loveland, to Henry and Christina Pfalzgraff. He married Dorothy Boyer July 21, 1933, in Loveland. They were married for seven years and after 36 years, were reunited in marriage. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and saw combat duty with the 318th regiment of the 80th Division, receiving a Bronze Star, three battle stars and a Combat Badge.
He was employed by John E. Heine and Son, contractors in Loveland, for 22 years. He also worked at Great Western Sugar in Ovid.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Pfalzgraff, Sedgwick; a son, Donald E. Pfalzgraff, Lakewood; a daughter, Mary Ann Dittler, Sterling; a stepson, Jack Armstrong; brothers, Melvin, Northglenn, and August, San Rafael, California; a sister, Doris, Seattle, Washington; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
Burial was in Sedgwick Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Gateway.
