1. Obituary of Delores Stelk Mettenbrink. "Mrs Dale Mettenbrink, Ex-Islander, Dies Sunday
Mrs. Deloris Mettenbrink, wife of Dale L. Mettenbrink and a former resident of this city, died Sunday at Hutchinson, Kan. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Rev. Calvin P. Hartman, pastor of the 10th Avenue United Methodist Church of Hutchinson will officiate. Interment will be in Grand Island Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 at the Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Remembrances through memorials to the 10th Avenue United Methodist Church of Hutchinson, Kanssas are preferred.
Mrs. Mettenbrink was born March 30, 1930, in Grand Island to Mr. and Mrs Arthur Stelk. Following her graduation from rand Island High School, she was employed in Grand Island until her marriage to Mr. Mettenbrink here on Aug 12, 1951. Mr. and Mrs. Mettenbrink made their home in Grand Island Until 1960. In the year, they moved to North Platte. Four years later, they moved to Hutchinson.
Mrs. Mettenbrink was a member of the 10th Avenue United Methodist Church of Hutchinson.
She is survived by her husband, Dale L.; four children, Roger, Sandra, Dianna and Deborad; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stelk of Grand Island; three brothers, Elton, Arthur Jr., and Norman Stelk, all of Grand Island; and two sisters, Mrs Imogene Horst of Doniphan and Mrs. Madeline Welty of Omaha.".
