| 6058 | Debharrvey: Mrs. Mischewski of Germany reported that George Heinrich Buxmann died in FUberau on Jan 13, 1760. David Schmidt, reviewing LDS microfilm from FUberau/Reinheim (and also earlier Mrs. Mischweski of Ilbesheim, ermany) reported that an entry that occurs in the Family Register for George Heinrich Buxmann (b. 6 Jan. 1717) of FUberau says: "The widow married Kaspar Axthelm of Klein-Neuhausen (Erfurt) on March 15, 1763. In 1766, Axthelm, a sock weaver from FUberau with 4 stepchildren, took off for Russia in the night with his wife and children, leaving behind many debts, a house and goods. See protokolle pastorale, page 210." Since neither Axthelm nor his wife, Elizabeth (?) Buxmann [her maiden name is unknown] appear in the records in Russia, according to Pleve, it may be assumed they died enroute. But two sons, Johann Georg (1745) and Johann Jakob (1754) arrived in Kolonie Mueller in 1767, according to Pleve. The oldest son was married. Who the other two children were is not known; only Johann George (1745) and Johann Jakob (1754) are shown in the Russian data. Grandpa had jokingly said to Walter that he had dropped the second 'n' in his last name, 'because he didn't know how to pronounce it.' Jeruslan Nachrichten, Vol. 2, No. 2, edited by Sue Kottwitz of Rt. 1, Box 50, Falcon, MO 65470-9734 reported on p. 8 on NATURALIZATION RECORDS OF IMMIGRANTS FROM RUSSIA TO COLORADO--VOLUME 1, BY THE DENVER METRO CHAPTER, GENEALOGY GROUP, AHSGR, 1993, that Carl Buxman was born in Wiesenmueller on 14 November, 1879, and that he arrived on 10 May, 1902 in New York, was naturalized in 1909 in Weld County with residence in New Windsor. | Buxmann, Karl Adolf (I96319)
