She passed from this life on September 12, 2012 in Clinton, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years, 3 months, and 17 days. Doris grew up on a farm Southeast of Leedey which was in a German community. Doris' father was born in Germany. Therefore, it was a familiar place for them to settle. Doris and her family attended the Solid Rock Church, of the German community. She also attended the German school through the 8th grade and obtained her GED from Leedey in 1976. At age 19, Doris married Adrian Robertson on December 6, 1941. They lived on a farm South of Rhea, Oklahoma. Two children blessed this union, Ann and Wayne. In 1951 the family moved to a farm two miles South of Leedey. Doris was truly a help to Adrian by being a "Farmer's Wife". She helped with the cattle and also helped harvest cotton and wheat. She was a talented seamstress, as well as, a wonderful cook and always fed the hired hands home cooked meals. In 1956 she took a job working in Leedey at Breeze's Dry Goods. Doris lost her husband, Adrian on May 15, 1971. She began working for the Leedey Drug Store in 1971. In 1952 Doris was baptized at the Rhea Baptist Church. She was currently a member of the First Baptist Church in Elk City. Doris loved to attend the Kauk Reunions, which is where she met Ed Rhoades. Ed and Doris were married in October of 1979. The couple moved to California in 1980 living in Hanford and moving to Yuba City in 1981. They moved back to Elk City, Oklahoma during April of 2005. Doris lost Ed on October 8, 2006. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Lena Kauk; by husbands Adrian Robertson and Ed Rhoades; by brothers Albert Kauk, Walter Kauk, Herbert Kauk, Emil Kauk, Barney Kauk, Lee Kauk, and L.D. Kauk; and by sister Vera Riedl. Doris is survived by her daughter Ann Kent of Oklahoma City; by son Wayne Robertson and wife Pam of Oklahoma City; by granddaughter Stephanie Thomas and husband Bill of Houston, Texas; by grandsons Travis Robertson and wife Kena of Frisco, Texas and Nick Robertson of Dallas, Texas; by great-grandchildren B.J. Thomas of Austin, Texas and Shea Thomas of Houston, Texas; by sisters Ruth Robertson and Bernice Carter; by brother Delbert Kauk and wife Fern; and many nieces, nephew, cousins and friends. | Kauk, Doris Lucille (I10154)

The First Battalion of 6 Companies with 500+ militia soldiers under the command of Maj. William Cabell, Jr. were ordered to march and join the Army Commanded by the honorable Major General Marques de la Fayette. William Payton left Amherst County, Virginia in 1784 after serving in the Amherst County Militia during the Revolutionary War and removed to Wilkes County, Georgia, then to Madison County, GA. William Payton died between 19 Oct 1811 and February 1819 in Georgia Military District (GMD) 1616, Madison County, Georgia. She married Fredrick Huntley on October 2, 1935 in rural Fillmore County, NE, Fredrick passed away November 16, 1976. They moved to Hastings, NE in 1939. She was a cook at the Masonic Temple in Hastings for many years, retiring in 2005. Helen's pies have been served in her church for more than 60 years and her baby quilts and tea towels have been treasured in nearly every state. Helen enjoyed going for rides and playing cards and spending time with her family. Helen was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings, NE. Helen is survived by: sons, Maynard R. Huntley and wife Jan of Georgetown, TX, Robert Huntley and wife Ann of Norfolk, NE. and F. Wayne Huntley and wife Lois of Hastings, NE.; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter; brother, Ronald Glanz and wife Louisa of Albuquerque, N.M. and sister in law, Marcella Glanz of Yuma, CO.
