There is no record of the place of burial. I have placed Joseph and his wives here because he was on the Board of Trustee's that purchased the land from Philip Force for the church and burying ground. Also, his homestead was on the back side of Lot 1, Concession 1 and the church/burying ground is on the front side of Lot 1, Concession 1. This just seems like the logical place for the family to be buried.

Ida Belle Cronk was born to Ida and Bill Cronk in Sioux Falls on Feb. 27, 1916, and was the youngest of 6 children. Ida attended Washington High School. In July of 1947 she married Herbert Eisenbraun and they remained in Sioux Falls. Herbert was employed by Sioux Transit as a bus driver while Ida stayed at home to raise their three children, Judy, Jane, and Bill. In 1956 Ida began working for Lewis Drugs and was employed with them for 10 yrs, working in the customer service/post office area. After leaving Lewis Drugs, she went to work for Sioux Transit and was honored to be the first woman bus driver for the city of Sioux Falls. She very much enjoyed her time with Sioux Transit and made many friendships with the people who rode her bus. Some of them would bring her gifts at Christmas time and for her birthday. Ida had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling. She and her brother, Miles Cronk, spent many happy times together traveling to visit relatives, and also spent some time traveling Europe to visit London and Italy. They visited some of the areas that Miles had been to during World War II. She and Miles also enjoyed taking a cruise that included going through the Panama Canal.
Ida was amazed with technology. She had a computer and tried to learn how to use it. She did get pretty good at playing solitaire. Since she didn't have television as a child, she also loved to watch television and movies. Ida's favorite movie was Peter Seller's, 'The Pink Panther.' She would also play music for hours and hours.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband, and her daughter, Jane Ann. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Drobeck and son, Bill Eisenbraun, both of Sioux Falls. Ida has three grandchildren: Amy Javers, of Sioux Falls, Doris Schumacher, of Milbank, and Erica Mays of Sioux Falls. Ida also has four great-grandchildren: Matthew Drobeck, Brendan and Alena Schumacher, and Cash Mays, and two great-great grandchildren, Carmin and another who will be joining the family in August.

Minnie was named in the German tradition for her two grandmothers--Christina [Heier] Strab and Wilhelmina Christina [Fickel] Kämmle. A list of 'firsts' in the records of the Hope Valley Church was that her marriage to John on May 24, 1910, was the first in the new church. They lived all their lives in this community; she died, however, at her son's home in Oklahoma.
At least two of her nephews and nieces for whom Minnie and John were sponsors at their baptisms have fond memories of this aunt and uncle. Aunt Minnie never forgot Christmas, birthdays or occasions like high school graduation, always sending a gift. There are also fond memories of her vegetable soup, which was called by the German name borscht!
