He was born in Harvey, North Dakota, on May 27, 1918, to Simon and Bertha Reiswig. On November 9, 1939, he married the love of his life, Ida Fischer. Mr. Reiswig was a farmer all of his life, picking up the trade as soon as he was able to pick up a shovel. He specialized in the dairy farming and beef cattle business, owning Reiswig Dairy and Westside Dairy. He also raised grapes and row crops. Even after he officially retired from farming, Elmer always had a large, flourishing garden. He made sure to keep all of his friends and family in fresh supply of whatever produce he was growing at the time. For the last 12 years, Mr. Reiswig enjoyed watching his friend, Lo, raise strawberries on his land. Elmer lovingly cared for his wife for four years until she passed away in 2006. He will be remembered as a kind, generous man who will be dearly missed. Mr. Reiswig is survived by his children: Elaine (David) Bradshaw of Portland, OR and Gary Dale (Erika) Reiswig of Bakersfield. He was preceded in death by his wife: Ida Reiswig, and his brother: Clarence Reiswig. Friends are invited to visit on Monday, December 17, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., and Tuesday, December 18, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. The daughter of Bertha (Zimbelman) and Roy Waters, she was born November 30, 1934 in St. Francis, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Ernie J. Heitschmidt on November 16, 1955 in Denver, Colorado. The young couple lived in Kansas City, Kansas, then Herrington, Kansas and made their home in Guymon in 1967. Beth was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her family was so important to her, whether it was family meals for her children or grandchildren's activities. Beth's time spent with her grandchildren was treasured, as they were her "pride and joy." Beth enjoyed her involvement in Victory Memorial United Methodist Church, the Delphinium Garden Club, Meals on Wheels and the Texas County Junior Livestock Show. Always a nature lover, Beth enjoyed gardening and was a bird enthusiast. She also enjoyed photography, music, art, needlework, cooking, baking and was as avid reader. Survivors include her husband, Ernie Heitschmidt of Guymon; two daughters, Teresa and husband, Beny Levin of Fort Worth, Texas; and Lori Heitschmidt of San Antonio, Texas; two sons, Steve Heitschmidt and wife, Rannette of Garden City, Kansas; and Roy Heitschmidt and wife, Diane of Nazareth, Texas; two sisters, Cathy and husband, Chuck Brunswig of Fort Collins, Colorado; and Dixie and husband, Bob Keller of St. Francis, Kansas; brother, Jerry Waters and wife, Janice of Bethesda, Maryland; and six adoring Heitschmidth grandchldren, J.D., Alyssa, Eric, Emily, Ryan and Brett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha and Roy Waters and a sister, Dona Sherlock. Memorial services will be conducted on Monday, March 24th at 10:00 AM at Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Burkett and Rev. Barry Bennett, officiating. She was born Jan. 30,1937, in Winamac, to the late Charles and Martha (Zimpleman) McCrackin. On March 19,1961, in South Bend, she married David M. Abraham, who preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1980. She was also preceded in death by a brother, William McCrackin; and a great-nephew, Christopher McCrackin. She retired from Zimmer, Inc., Warsaw, after almost 20 years of service. She resided in Warsaw for 20 years, coming from Silver Lake, North Manchester area, South Bend and originally from the Rochester area. She was an avid crafter who enjoyed giving her hand-made items to friends and family. She spent a great deal of time caring for elderly relatives and friends. She was a South Bend Riley High School graduate. Survivors include a son, Donald (Julie) Abraham of Berwyn, IL; grandchildren, Lillian Abraham and Sophia Abraham, both of Berwyn; sister-in-law, Doreen McCrackin of Richmond, TX; nieces and nephews, Terry (Belinda) McCrackin, Craig McCrackin, Jan McCrackin, Bill (Debbie) Elliott; Kelly McCrackin, Terri (Philipp) Krauss, and Steve (Wilmel) Elliott; 13 grandnieces/nephews; and five great-grandnieces/nephews. Many other family and friends. Especially dear were Fred (Kathrin) Stewart and their children, Elliot and Madeline, as Fred was like a second son to Mrs. Abraham. She is also survived by her companion and pet dog, Molly. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Rev. J.P. Freeman of Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester, officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Servia, IN. Tjomsland of Dubois will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Dubois. Sylvia Crouter will officiate and interment will follow at the Dubois Cemetery. A carry-in dinner will follow at the VFW in Dubois. Mrs. Tjomsland died on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at the Edgewood Vista Care Center in Missoula, Mont., suffering Alzheimer's and complications from a fall. She was 94 years ago. Pauline T. Watermier was born in Hamill, S.D., on July 20, 1914, the daughter of Lena and Hubert Watermier. She lived on a farm near Winner, S.D., until she was 16 and then moved to Rapid City, S.D., in 1930. She married Cyrus O. "Cy" Tjomsland on Sept. 2, 1934, in Rapid City. Mr. and Mrs. Tjomsland moved to Casper in 1936, then to Dubois in 1949. There the couple, along with her sister, Arlene, and husband Steve Shavlik, purchased the Yellowstone Service and Motel. In 1955, they started the Dubois Electric which they owned and managed until retirement in 1975. In July of 2003, Mrs. Tjomsland moved to Homestead Living in Riverton and in July of 2006, she moved to Edgewood Vista in Missoula, Mont. Kelly Reynolds and Gary Shavlik were her caregivers during the time. Mrs. Tjomsland was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal; Church, a life member of the VFW Auxiliary, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a member of the SnowKaters of Dubois, the Sourdoughs, and the High Country Senior Center. Her family said Mrs. Tjomsland was an avid fisherman. She hunted and snowmobiled until she was 85 years old and loved the out-of=doors. Survivors include a nephews, Gary Shavlik and his wife Jan of Dubois; a niece, Kelly Reynolds and husband Mickey of Missoula; a nephew, Steven Marrou and his wife Brandy of Cheyenne; nephews Craig Shavlik of Anchorage, Alaska, and Greg Shavlik of Bozeman, Mont; nieces, Wendy Tosch, Gaylene Huntington, and Tammy McMahon of Fairbanks, Alaska; Jerry Marrou, and many great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cy, on Feb. 23, 1966; her son, Larry K. Tjomsland on Oct. 4, 1997; her parents; her sister, Arlene on Nov. 5, 1994; her brother, Ralph, and her niece, Dixie Marrou on Nov. 12, 1994. Memorials may be made to the VFW Scholarship Fund or the High Country Senior Citizens in Dubois, or through the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main Riverton, WY 82501.
