Surviving in addition to his parents, are a brother, Louis John Zimbelman, at home; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Zimbelman Jr. of Route 1, Keenesburg, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sirios of Roggen. "Sonny" Zimbelman, 62, of Keenesburg, died Saturday, January 30. He was born November 15, 1936, in Keenesburg to John Jr. and Flora (Kitzman) Zimbelman in the home currently lived in. On February 9, 1962, he married Anna Lee Looney. He served in the Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957. He attended Colorado State University for one year, and worked for Martin Marietta for two years. When he married, he moved to Prospect Valley and has farmed there ever since. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, the American Legion, was a life-member of the Farmers Gun Club, a board member of the Lost Creek Water Basin and a member of the Southeast Weld County Fair Board. Survivors are his wife, Anna Lee Zimbelman, and son, Anthony Zimbelman, both of Keenesburg, son Jason Zimbelman of Hudson, Mother Flora Zimbelman; brothers Kenneth and Jack Zimbelman, both of Prospect Valley, and Marvin Zimbelman of Elizabeth; and four grandchildren. His father, John Zimbelman, Jr., died in 1989. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street.
