Mrs. Christina Ottmar Moos, 80, a native of Russia who came to the Dusty district from North Dakota in 1926, died last night at St. Ignatius' hospital following a brief illness.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in St. John's Congregational church near Dusty, the Rev. Ruben Meier officiating, with interment in the cemetery there.
She was the widow of Jacob Moos who died in 1939. Survivors include three sons and four daughters, Mrs. Henry Morasch, Colfax; Mrs. Rudolph Schott, Mrs. Emil Stueckle and Henry Moos, Lacrosse; Ted Moos, Longview; Mrs. Matt Meisch, Streeter, N.D., and John Moos, Gackle, N.D.; a brother, Jacob Ottmar, Odessa, Wash., and a sister, Mrs. Fred Bell, Jane, S.D.

August was born Karl Friedrich August Jäger in Holenberg, Duchy of Brunswick (Herzogtum Braunschweig) in 1848. Today this location is in the state of Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen); the nearest large town is Holzminden. August emigrated with his family in 1854, settling in Wheeling, WV. His siblings were Caroline Yager Warneke, Augusta Yager Rolf, Charles Louis and Frederick Yager, Jr.
He married Louisa Bertschy and had a farm located inear the "Lewis Baker Place" along National Road. After his death in 1886, the farm was sold and Louisa and the five children moved into her parents' house at 41 Fifth St. in Wheeling. August was buried first at Mt. Wood and, after Louisa's death in 1929, his body was reburied next to hers at Greenwood Cemetery.

Betty Hooker, 76, of Loveland passed away on Feb. 4, 2013. Betty was born on Jan. 5, 1937 in Loveland, Colo. to Robert and Nellie (Filoon) Engelhardt. She graduated from Loveland High School in 1955 and married Raymond Hooker in Cheyenne, Wyo. in 1956.
Betty worked at a cook at CSU for over 25 years. She was an avid bowler and belonged to the Ft. Collins Women's Bowling Association. She lived in Fort Collins for the past 50 years.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Warren Engelhardt. She is survived by her husband, Raymond; sons, Gary (Kim) Hooker and Scott Hooker both of Ft. Collins; grandchildren, Shane (Monica) Merkt, Justin and Cody Hooker and Rebecca, Brenden and Jessika Fretwell; and two great-grandchildren.
Private Graveside Services will be held on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at Loveland Burial Park. An open house reception will follow at the Allnutt Reception Center at 2:30 p.m.

Sarah Jane (Moos) Stahlecker Goldhammer passed away February 7, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner. She was 83.
Visitation will be held Monday at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner from 4 to 6 PM. Funeral Services are 2 PM, Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wagner with Pastor Jordon Andreasen officiating and Pastor Greg Wilcox from the Good Samaritan Society saying a few words.
Graveside rites and burial will be held in Selby at Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, February 13, 2013.
Sarah Jane was born in Selby, SD on May 20, 1929, to Henry and Mabel (Hoffman) Moos. She graduated from Selby High School. She married Lawrence Lavare Stahlecker on June 20, 194. To this union was born two children: Joan Carol and Keven Kent.
Sarah Jane attended Presentation College in Aberdeen and completed courses in Business Administration, Business Law and Dietary Management.
Sarah Jane taught rural schools near Selby, while assisting Lawrence in running his own business, Mobil Oil. After 15 years, the business was sold in 1965 due to Lawrence's poor health. In 1965, Sarah Jane accepted the position of Assistant Nursing Home Administrator with Lawrence accepting the Nursing Home Administrator position in Selby with the Good Samaritan Society. They operated facilities in Selby, De Smet, Parkston and Wagner.
In September of 1984, Lawrence passed away from cancer after 36 years of marriage. Upon Lawrence's death, Sarah Jane became the Nursing Home Administrator for the Wagner Good Samaritan Center. Between Lawrence and Sarah Jane, they served the Wagner Good Samaritan Center for 17 years. In September of 1995, Sarah Jane retired from the Good Samaritan Society after serving 30 faithful years.
In September of 1985, Sarah Jane married Marcus Goldhammer, spending 19 years of marriage with him. Marcus passed away in December of 2004 from cancer.
Sarah Jane was a Certified Preceptor for the State of South Dakota and trained many people in the state to be nursing home administrators.
Sarah Jane devoted her life to the service of others. She was president of a bowling team, Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, sang in the church choir, member of Business and Professional Women, member and president of the Jayceettes, while living in Selby and served on numerous other community clubs in the other communities she served. She served at the State Level of the South Dakota Health Care Association for many years and was on their Board of Directors for many years.
Sarah Jane was a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators and served as Secretary and Treasurer at the national level which served the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin. She was elected President Elect of the South Dakota Chapter.
She is survived by her two children from her union with Lawrence Stahlecker: daughter, Joan (Gary) Truman of Wagner, SD; three adopted grandchildren: Sarita Truman of Mitchell; Mini and Allie Truman of Wagner; and step granddaughter, Cathy Truman of Sioux Falls; son Keven (Deb) Stahlecker of Canton; one grandson, Joshua Stahlecker of Canton with three great granddaughters; granddaughter, Janae Stahlecker of Canton with one great granddaughter and one grandson from a previous marriage for Keven, Jason (Tennille) Stahlecker of Minneapolis, two great grandsons, one step great granddaughter and two step grandsons. Her marriage to Marcus Goldhammer brought four daughters into the family: Donna (Dave) Rundquist of Green, KS, with two step granddaughters, one step grandson and seven step great grandchildren; Marlaine (John) Doidge of Glencoe, MN, with three step granddaughters and one step great granddaughter; Jane (Doug) Montgomery of Apple Valley, MN, with two step granddaughters and a step grandson; and JoAnn Goldhammer of Wagner.
Sarah Jane was preceded in death by two husbands, Lawrence Stahlecker and Marcus Goldhammer; a sister, Alva Carlson; and three brothers: Alfred Moos, Don Moos and Leroy Moos.
Pallbearers are Joshua Stahlecker, Dan Fosness, Clyde Lutz, Brian Weisser, Don Paulson and Dana Sanderson. Those who worked with Sarah Jane at the Good Samaritan Society in Sioux Falls will be honorary pallbearers. Those who worked under Sarah Jane while she was Administrator at the Wagner Good Samaritan Center will also be honorary pallbearers.

Marcus Goldhammer, 74, Wagner, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, at Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Goldhammer, Wagner; his mother, Alfrieda Goldhammer, Wagner; four daughters, Donna Rundquist, Green, Kan., Marlaine Doidge, Glencoe, Minn., JoAnn Goldhammer, Wagner, and Jayne Montgomery, Apple Valley, Minn.; two stepchildren, Kevin Stahlecker, Canton, and Joan Truman, Wagner; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Marlyn Goldhammer, Rapid City, Paul Goldhammer, Wall, Maurice Goldhammer, Lakewood, Colo., and Andre Goldhammer, Elkton.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST Sunday, Dec. 26, at Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. John Lutheran Church in Wagner.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at the church.
Burial will be at ZCBJ Cemetery in rural Wagner.

Ralph P. Kilzer, 97, formerly of Loveland, passed away on August 1, 2006. He was born September 14, 1908 in Ashland, OH to William and Mary Elizabeth (Steinhoff) Kilzer. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1932. Ralph married Dorothy Peters on December 24, 1933 in Elk Point, SD. She passed away in 2002. He is a former resident of South Sioux City, NE, moved to Loveland in 1976 and then to Denver in 2000. He taught math and coached and was a principal from 1932 to 1940. In 1940 he went to work for the U.S. Post office and was a Postmaster mail carrier, retiring in 1971. Ralph belonged to the Nebraska Pep Club, the National Postal Association, and a member of the First Christian Church in Loveland. He loved Nebraska sports and fishing. He liked to take the travel trailer to Florida, Texas and California. He spent a week every summer in a cabin with his family in Minnesota. He also enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.
Ralph is survived by his son; daughter; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Barbara Phillippi, brothers Paul and Everett Kilzer, sisters Pauline Kissinger and Pearl Larson.
