Daughter of Jacob, wife of Frederick A. Muhlenberg.
NOTE: Only the first two letters of her maiden name can be seen "DU" - rootsweb.com family trees list her maiden name as Duchman.
From a Find A Grave "Visitor" Patti Hartman:
. . . . Under "Children" you listed Charles Phil(l)ip, which is correct, however she and Frederick Augustus Hall Muhlenberg had eight additional children: Ann Hall, Edward Duchman, Emma Elizabeth, Ellen Maria, another Ellen, William, Francis, and Rosa Amelia.
My husband and I live in a house in Lancaster, PA that was built by Frederick some time between 1833 and 1850 and we've done just a bit of research on its history, which is how I happen to have that information. We don't know if the Muhlenbergs ever actually lived in the house because Frederick had a total of 14 children (five by his first wife Elizabeth Schaum Muhlenberg) and I can't imagine that many bodies living in this house, but times were different then, so one never knows. We're hoping that eventually we'll stumble upon something that will tell us for sure whether or not the Muhlenberg family ever lived here.
