Rodney D. Berger, 55, died Dec. 30, 2010, at his home in Mandan. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Chad Gion as celebrant. Inurnment will be held at Mandan Union Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, with a parish vigil at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.
Rodney Dale Berger was born July 1, 1955, the son of Jack and Alma (Wetzel) Berger. He was born and raised in Mandan, where he also received his education at Mandan High School. He ran the Buckhorn Bar, a liquor establishment, for 25 years. He was known for his people-person personality. With his love for music, Rodney sang and played bass guitar with a band. He was a great fisherman and could never get enough of fishing. One of his greatest adventures was fishing with his dad at Great Slave Lake in the Northwest Territory of Canada. Rodney passed on the same day as his first grandchild, Mya Berger, who was born at 3:05 p.m. CST.
Rodney will be dearly missed by his two children, Brandi and Jacob, Moreno Valley, Calif.; his mother, Alma Berger, Mandan; his siblings, Dennis (Elaine) Berger and James (Jean) Berger, both of Mandan, and Rosemary Donahue, Woodland, Texas; his granddaughter, Mya Berger; numerous nieces and nephews; along with his special friends, Ashley, Shelby and Toni Holste.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Berger.

Seatta was born in Sutton, Nebraska on September 8, 1922 to Frederick and Anna Marie (Zimbleman) Brandner, the 12th of 13 children; she was the last survivor of those children.
Seatta was a member of the Selbyville Assembly of God Church in Selbyville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earis in 1988; son, George Murray in 1966; daughter Eva Lee Bunting in 2007, and 12 siblings, sister, Ruth McGee, brothers, Maurice and Harvey Brandner of Delaware along with 4 brothers and 5 sisters of Nebraska and Colorado.
She is survived by her children, Hayward Murray and his wife Sheryl of Dagsboro, Stephen Murray and his wife Mary Elizabeth of Bethany Beach, Pastor Frank Murray of Millsboro, Fred Murray of Dagsboro, Janice Collins and her husband Donald of Clarksville, Linda White and her husband Ray of Clarksville; son-in-law, Dean Bunting of Frankford; a special sister-in-law, Madge Crist of Dagsboro; 7 grandsons, 11 granddaughters, 19 great-grandsons, 10 great-granddaughters, and 2 great-great-granddaughters.
A funeral service will be held Friday, January 7, at 9:30 am at the Chapel of MELSON FUNERAL SERVICES on 43 Thatcher Street in Frankford, where friends may call on Thursday afternoon from 4 to 6 pm. Burial will be in St. George's Cemetery in Clarksville.

He was buried Sunday from the Lutheran Church at Sand Creek (Note: this should have said St. John's Lutheran Church in Emmonsburg as there was no Sand Creek Lutheran Church). Rev. Timmcke officiated. Al Portz furnished the casket.

HAUCK, Nellie E. age 97, of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Miami Valley Hospital. She retired from Rike's Department Store after 38 years of service. Nellie was the last surviving charter member of American Legion Post 675 and volunteered at the V.A. for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Catherine Wright; her husband of 54 years, Edward Hauck and her brothers, Roman, William, John and Logan. Nellie is survived by her brother -in-law, Russell Hauck, of Englewood; nephews, Roman & Jackie Wright, John & Ruth Wright, Willard Wright, all of Springfield, Jerry Wright, of Washington Court House, John Hauck, of Dayton, and Jim Hauck, of Alaska; nieces, Kathryn Stephenson, of Dayton, Julie & Tom Payton, of Washington Court House and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services at Meyer-Boehmer & Reis Funeral Home, 1733 Brown St., Dayton. Family will greet friends until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.

He was b. during the 1590s, s. of John Fairbank(s) of greater Halifax, West Riding of Yorkshire, England and either John's 2nd wife Isabella Staincliffe or 3rd wife Ellen Parker. Jonathan m. Grace Smith May 20, 1617 at Halifax and immigrated with his family to Boston, Mass. betw. 1633 and 1635 settling permanently by 1636 at Dedham, Mass.
