121934 | www.findagrave.com: www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=97865251 Christina Oswald was born May 18, 1850 at New Friedenthal, South Russia. She married Frederick Kunz and in 1875 they immigrated to US. In 1880 she lost her first husband and remained a widow for 23 years. In 1884 she moved with her two children to Campbell County near Sutley, SD. In 1903 she married Ludwig Boehler and lived in Campbell County until 1919 when they moved to Java, SD. She leaves to mourn her husband Ludwig Boehler, two children William Kunz of Java, Mrs. Christian Koenig of Paradise, ND, a brother Jacob Oswald of Lincoln, Neb., two sisters Mrs. Bauer of Eureka, SD and Mrs. Buckenberger of Herreid, SD. Funeral services were held from the Reformed church with Rev. J. Bohler officiating with internment made in cemetery north of Java. Taken from the files of John H. Kunz I looked for Christina Kunz in the 1900 Federal Census Records and found William Kunz as the head of the house and his mother Christina was living with him. William's sister Christina was not listed as she was married to Karl Koenig on November 19, 1899. Also in one of the columns in the 1900 Census it asks how many children the wife had and Christina Oswald Kunz stated that she had 6 children. Therefore she and Frederick must have had 4 children that died in Russia before they came to Yankton in 1775. | Oswald, Christina (I132261)
