The funeral service will be held at 10:30am Wednesday, Aug. 8 at the Emmaus United Church of Christ in Carson. Pastor Dale Carmen will officiate with burial in the Emmaus Congregational Cemetery northwest of Carson. Special music will be provided by Martha Jacobs, organist. Serving as casketbearers are Wayne Huber, Harold Huber, Darwyn Diehl, Patrick Diehl, David Huber, Mark Taplin, Melissa Leberta, and Elizabeth Huber. All grandchildren and great grandchildren are considered honorary bearers. Olga Blumhardt Huber was born Sept. 11, 1915 in Grant County to Gottlieb and Rosina (Schroeder) Blumhardt. She grew up on the family farm north of Elgin and received her early education near there. She was married to Herbert Huber in Carson, ND on March 29, 1936. At his passing in 2002, they were married for 66 years. Their union was blessed with two daughters and two sons. Over the years, she and Herbert were active in the Carson community, raising their family there. They owned the Home Cafe' in Carson where she did most of the cooking. When they sold the cafe', she began working at the Carson school and cooked there for 17 years. In September of 2000 she entered the Elm Crest Manor in New Salem, and in July of 2002 moved to the Jacobson Memorial Hospital and Care Center where she lived until her death. Olga was a member of Emmaus Congregation UCC, active in the Dorcas Circle of her church and a 50 year member of Our Community Homemakers Club. Surviving are her sons, Harold (Jo'an) Huber, and Wayne (Betty) Huber all of Jackson, FL; daughter and sons-in-law, Audrey (Darwyn) Diehl of Carson and William Taplin of Bismarck, ND as well as nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; brothers, Herbert (Elsie) Blumhardt of Elgin, Reuben (Kathryn) Blumhardt of Laurel, MT and Arnold (Lorraine) Blumhardt of Billings, MT; and sister, Ruth Will of Elgin. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at Turtle Lake United Methodist Church with the Rev. Peder Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Turtle Lake Cemetery. Gertie was born Oct. 9, 1909, near Underwood, one of 10 children born to Andreas and Magdalena (Schlechter) Sayler. She grew up on her parents' farm southwest of Underwood and attended rural school. On Oct. 18, 1928, she married Edward Landsiedel of Garrison. The couple farmed in the Underwood/Turtle Lake area and raised their nine children there. In the spring of 1959, Edward died suddenly of a cerebral hemorrhage. Gertie continued to live on the farm until 1965, when she moved to Turtle Lake. She was employed as a dietary aide at the Turtle Lake Memorial Hospital. She retired at the age of 65 and focused her energy on spending time with her family and friends. Gertie was a member of the Turtle Lake United Methodist Church and women's ministry. Her hobbies included gardening, embroidery and crocheting. She created many embroidered and crocheted keepsakes for her family. In 2003, she sold her house and moved to the Sheridan Home in McClusky. She later moved to the Prairieview Nursing Home, where she had made her home since 2006. Gertie always looked forward to Sayler family reunions in Underwood. She and her cousin, Emma Landenberger (who passed away last week), were the last living members of their generation of the extended Sayler family. Gertie is survived by four sons and two daughters, Wayne Landsiedel, Underwood, Glen (Joan) Landsiedel, Parshall, Leora Singer and Bob (Jean) Landsiedel, Washburn, Larry (Alma) Landsiedel, Baldwin, and Betty (Claude) Linder, Nashua, Minn.; four daughters-in-law, Sharon, Ardella and Lenora Landsiedel and Kathy Westrum; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; three sons, Virgil, Cleo and Darrel; one grandson, Steven Landsiedel; one son-in-law, Willie Singer; six brothers; and three sisters. | Sayler, Gertie (I41145)

He was born on Aug. 13, 1918, on the family homestead near Rock Springs, the son of Jacob and Christina Naasz Ohlhauser. He was raised on the family homestead and attended schools at the Crow Rock, Sutherland, and Uall country schools where he graduated from the eighth grade. Mr. Ohlhauser remained on the homestead where he farmed and ranched with his brother Herman all of their lives. They farmed with horses in the early year, which is where Mr. Ohlhauser gained his love of animals. The two brothers operated the place together until Herman died in 1997. Ferd Ohlhauser continued to run the farm himself until he moved into Miles City in 2004 and eventually sold the place. Mr. Ohlhauser enjoyed attending local and area rodeos and was even known to be bucked off of a few horses. He also enjoyed music and playing the accordion. He loved visiting with family, friends and neighbors. His survivors include his sister, Lydia Waldow of Miles City; a nephew, Stanley Waldow of Longview, Texas; four nieces: Donna Flanigan of Miles City, Sandra Danforth of Carson City, Nev., Linda Edwards of Fernley, Nev., and Nancy Seright of Post Falls, Idaho; and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Herman. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at Steveson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment followed in the Custer County Cemetery in Miles City. Maizie Jean Stenberg was born March 16, 1941 to Gerhard (Gay) and Minnie (Goplin) Stenberg at New England, ND. She received her education at the Hettinger Public School. On November 10, 1957, she was united in marriage to Edwin Fink at Hettinger. Four children, Todd, Lisa, Ed, and Trent were born to this union. Edwin and Maizie were engaged in farming in Perkins County, SD south of Reeder and then in Adams County, ND north of Hettinger. Maizie was well known in the community for her cooking skills, most notably at the Hettinger Sale Barn. Following the sale of their farm in 1978, Edwin and Maizie purchased a motel and moved to Livingston, MT. They were active member of the business community with a taxi service and sewing store as well. Maizie worked for Big Sky Resort and earned a Montana Realtor's License. Following Edwin's death, she opened her home to foster children. She will be long remembered for her generous spirit, tremendous work ethic, and magnificent laugh. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Livingston, MT, Son's of Norway Lodge, and the Montana Innkeepers Association. Maizie passed from this life on December 7, 2005, at the home of her daughter in Dickinson, ND, following a courageous battle with cancer. Maizie is survived by her children, Todd (Brenda) Fink, Prairie City, SD; Lisa (Rolan) Honeyman, Dickinson, ND; Ed (Sina) Fink, Glendive, MT; and Trent Fink, Livingston, MT; nine grandchildren, sister, LaVone (Ted) Kent, Oregon City, OR; sister-in-law, Norma Erickson, Hettinger, ND; brother-in-law, Wilbert (Arlene) Fink, Belle Fourche, SD; sister-in-law, Delores Warrick, Spearfish, SD; uncle, Julius Goplin, Hettinger, ND; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Maizie was blessed to have a number of good friends that supported her through her many challenges. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Gerald (Gussy); her husband, Edwin; and her nephew, John Kent. Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 to 7:00pm; Saturday, 9:00am to 12:00 noon at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Hettinger and one hour prior to services at the Hettinger Lutheran Church.
