Paul M. Schilling, 38, of 2102 Mary Ave., New Holstein, a well-known New Holstein hardware dealer, died Saturday night at his home.
Born in New Holstein March 30, 1939, a son of Earl and Edna Gunderson Schilling, he graduated from New Holstein High School in 1957 and from Lakeland College in 1961. He taught high school music in North Dakota from 1961 until moving to New Holstein in 1967, when he became the proprietor of Schilling Hardware in New Holstein.
He married Mary Ann Ackerman on Aug. 27, 1960 in Fullerton, N. D. Mr. Schilling was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, New Holstein, the New Holstein Kiwanis Club, the Wisconsin Retail Hardware Association of Commerce and Outdoors, Inc.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, Scott and Michael, both at home; his parents, of New Holstein; one sister, Mrs. Howard Gay, of Hot Springs, Ark.
