As the bride and bridegroom took their places among flowers and ferns for the ceremony, Bert Henshaw, uncle of the bride, rendered the song, ˜™Tis Then I™ll Think of Thee,™ in his usual splendid voice.
œAfter the ceremony an elaborate luncheon was served in the garden and then the happy couple were whisked away to the train in an automobile amid showers of rice and old shoes. After a short trip through the State, Mr. and Mrs. Archibald will be at home to their friends, at Reno, Nevada, where Mr. Archibald is connected with the business house of Archibald and Archibald.
In 1920, Lelia and George and two children were living with her parents in Campbell, Santa Clara, California. In 1930, Lelia had married Carl Shirk and they were living with her son, Hedley, in Modesto.

In 1859 John and Mary Moody's son Daniel returned to Missouri and brought his parents to California. One source states that John was born in Virginia & became a planter. He came to Kentucky, then to Missouri; finally,to California 10 years after George Washington Moody arrived there. The Moodys came from England and settled in Virginia & had a creditable part in the Revolutionary War. John ranched and operated a livery stable in Santa Clara. He was a member of the Christian Church and was a strong Democrat.
In 1830, John and his family were living in Montgomery County, Missouri. Enumerated on the same page were: John Haun, James Lynn, Daniel Lynn, James Moody, Peter Haun, Jacob Haun; on the following page Isaac Lynn is listed.JBy 1840, John and Maryâ„¢s family had grown to 5 boys and 2 girls.In 1850, John and Mary were living in Lee Township, Platte County, Missouri with their children: Daniel (16), Lucy (14), Nancy (13), Sarah (10), and Rachel (6).
In 1860, John was farming in the Fremont District of Santa Clara County. Living with him and Polly were: daughter Rachael (17) and her husband. Jonathan Hinshaw (22); daughter Lucy (22); Abby A. John Stewart went on many hunting trips with his brother-in-law, Daniel Boone. On one of these hunting trips, he disappeared, and it was believed the Shawnee Indians killed him [from Missouri notes]. [From World Book Ency.:] In 1769, Boone and friend John Findley set out for Kentucky to try an overland route from North Carolina. Findley hoped to increase his fur trade and needed an experienced woodsman. Accompanying them were Boone's brother-in-law John Stuart and three men who kept camp. Boone's brother Squire joined later.
