Shuman of California who is visiting friends in Evanston, received a telegram last week Monday announcing the death on Sunday of her mother, Mrs. Mary Ann Huntoon. Mr. and Mrs. Huntoon were among the earliest settlers of Evanston, where they lived for more that fifty years. About nine years ago they moved to California. Mr. Huntoon died two years ago. Mrs. Huntoon was staying with Mrs. Shuman's family at Bloomington, Cal., during her abscence, and as far as her daughter has been able to learn as yet, was ill only two or three days. Besides Mrs. Shuman, five children survive Mrs. Huntoon--G.W. Huntoon of Ravenswood, and four residing in California.
