Anna Maria Hummel was the daughter of Christian Hummel (1747-1800) and Maria Christiana (last name unknown) (???-1801), who both died in Stokes (now Forsyth) County, North Carolina.
Anna married Jacob Reed (1773-1843) on 03 Apr 1800 at Stokes (now Forsyth) County, North Carolina. The family moved to the Moravian community at Hope, Bartholomew County, Indiana with some of their children in 1833.
Anna and Jacob were the parents of nine known children, namely:
1. Thomas Jeffrey Reed (1801-1891)
2. Elizabeth Reed Lewis (1803-1833)
3. Solomon Reed (1806-1837)
4. Christian Elias Reed (1808-1900)
5. Verona Reed Petticord (1810-1895)
6. Joseph Reed (1812-1894)
7. David Samuel Reed (1814-1886)
8. Jonas Frederic Reed (1816-1843)
9. Anna Carolina Reed Ziegler (1818-1885)
Some records show a tenth child, John Henry Reed (1819-1848), who is also buried at the Hope Moravain Graveyard. Does anyone know for sure?
