      Wilma Marie Bowersox, 91, of Shueyville, died Friday morning, January 6, 2006 at the Solon Nursing Care Center following a lengthy illness.
      Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the Shueyville United Methodist Church with Reverend Tom Carver, officiating. Interment will follow at the Shueyville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 on Tuesday at Brosh Chapel, Cedar Rapids.
      Wilma was born on July 25, 1914 in Johnson County the daughter of Joseph and Tena (Petrak) Louvar. She married James W. Bowersox on October 20, 1936 at the Shueyville United Methodist Church. Wilma was a member of Shueyville United Methodist Church and a charter member of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Johnson County Farm Bureau Women, Ely Rebekah Lodge, and Swisher American Legion Auxiliary.
      Wilma is survived by her daughters Carol (Kenneth) Cuhel of Swisher and Sheryl (Rod) Cook of Newark, Ohio; sons James (Sandi) Bowersox of Cedar Rapids and David (Kathy) Bowersox of Shueyville; grandchildren Alan, Janet, and Mark Cuhel, Lori, Chris (Colene), and Doug (Bobbi) Bowersox, Susan (Gary) Tomas, Angie (Greg) Wagner, Mike (Piper), and Matthew (Mary) Bowersox, Sarah(John) Boys, and Dan Cook; great-grandchildren Karen (Zach) Silhanek, Elizabeth Cuhel, Britt and Brooke Bowersox, Mitchell, Josie, and Cal Wagner, Jack and Kate Bowersox; one niece; and one nephew.
      She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James on August 30, 1999, a sister Alice Matyk Warren, and two nieces.
      Her family was a comfort and a joy to her and she will be greatly missed by all of them. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Solon Nursing Care Center and Hospice of Iowa City for their compassionate care during Wilma's illness.
