    Wetonka - The funeral service for Norman H. Rauscher, 58, of Wetonka, is 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 624 N. Jay Street, Aberdeen. Rev. John Farden and Rev. Jais Tinglund will lead the worship service. Interment will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Ipswich City Cemetery. Visitation is Noon to 7 p.m. today at Gramm-Hein Funeral Home, US Highway 12, Ipswich and one hour prior to the service at the church, Thursday. Norman Henry Rauscher was born April 20, 1947, to Gerhardt and Helen (Iszler) Rauscher at Elgin, N.D. He was raised on a farm there and attended school in Elgin. In 1965 the family moved to a farm north of Ipswich. Norman joined his family there until entering the U.S. Army in February of 1966. He was stationed at Ft. Knox in Kentucky until his honorable discharge from service in February 1969. He returned home to the family farm and worked for various businesses and farmers in the Ipswich area. Norman married Dianna Schuck on Sept. 23, 1972, at Aberdeen, S.D. They made there home on a farm near Wetonka, S.D. Norman's passion for farming led him to successfully expand the farm over the years. He was dedicated to the success of his farm and his family as he continued to play an active role in the farming operation even after poor health set in. Mr. Rauscher died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, at the V.A. Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Thankful for having shared in his life are his wife, Dianna, of Wetonka; two sons, Steve Rauscher of Wetonka and Mark (Kayla) Rauscher of Lynnwood, Wash.; six brothers, Melvin (Margie) Rauscher of Selby, Vernon (Karen) Rauscher of Moundsview, Minn., Duane (Judi) Rauscher of Dickinson, N.D., Paul (Darlene) Rauscher of Roxboro, N.C., Fred (Linda) Rauscher of Aberdeen, and Herman Rauscher of Spearfish, S.D.; two sisters, Bernice Herried of Ortonville, Minn., and Cheryl (Roy) Chamberlain of Douglas, Wyo. Norman's parents preceded him in death. Casketbearers will be his brothers and his nephew Murray Rauscher. Gramm-Hein Funeral Home of Ipswich is in honored to serve the Rauscher family.
