OBITUARY
From the Mellette County News 31 Aug 1916:
Mrs. Adam Weisenburger, who has been ill for some time with erysipelas passed away Sunday morning at 5 o'clock and was buried from her home west of town at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon. Internment was at the City Cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Van Valkenburg in the English language and by Reverand Mr. Bonnette in the German language. A number of hymns were also sung by the friends and neighbors of the deceased and many expressions of esteem and appreciation were given as to the character of this estimable Christian woman.
She was born in southern Russia, July 25, 1853 and came to America with her husband in 1900. She leaves to mourn her going a husband and five sons; all but one of the sons were present at the funeral. Six sons and three daughters were laid to rest in the old country. Two of her sons are married and she also leaves ten grandchildren. The sympathy of all our people go out to this bereaved family
