Mrs. Della Ruddy, 73, Jamestown, died today (Saturday) in Med Center No. 1, Bismarck. .. Mrs. Ruddy, the former Della Harr, was born Jan. 5, 1912, at Woodworth, daughter of Jacob S. and Anna (Oswald) Harr. As a young gilr she moved to Nevis, Min., where she attended the local schools. She and Harold J. Ruddy were married May 25, 1935, at Aberdeen, SD. The home had been in Jamestown since. While living here she worked for Trinity Hospital and later at the North Dakota State Hospital until her retirement. Mr. Ruddy died Jan. 22, 1979. She was an active member of the Jamestown Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Survivors include a daughter and two sons, Mrs. Marlys Kalmbach and Robert Ruddy, both of Jamestown, and James Ruddy, Bismarck; three brothers, Donald Harr, Jamestown, Norman Harr, Yakima, WA, and Oliver (Hoot) Harr, Mandan; three sisters, Mrs. Hugo Schmitz (Clara), Golva, Mrs. Sam Thompson (Leora), Richland, WA; and Mrs. Wilbert Stroh (Katherine), Sanborn; and three grandchildren.
