    Trautman - Adam, born June 1, 1886 in Hofentahl, Russia. He came to the U.S. as a teenager with his parents. They homesteaded at Warden, Wa. Adam married Katherine Hockstatter on January 26, 1913 in Warden. They moved to Yakima in 1923, and farmed in the East Selah area until retiring. They were charter members of the Stone Church and where he was a deacon for many years. His wife preceded him in death, she died in 1971. Also, a son Herbert, died in 1933. He was survived by three sons, William of Seattle, Emil of Bothell and David of Mabton; and a daughter, Mrs. Jon (Freda) Gering of Yakima. Shaw & Sons in charge of funeral arrangements.

    OBITUARY
    NAPLES, FL - Emil went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully at the age of 92 on Sunday morning, Jan. 6, 2008, in Naples, FL where he had lived for the past 7 years. He is survived by his wife of 37 wonderful years, Joyce, sister Freda Gering of Yakima, WA, daughters Faye Fletcher of Naples, FL and Carleen Bell of Anacortes, WA, son Emil of Bonney Lake, WA, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Emil was born in a one room house 3 miles outside the town of Warden, WA. At the age of 7, he moved with his family to Selah near the Yakima River where he loved to swim. He left home at 17 to work in the orchards and other farm related jobs around the Yakima Valley. He served in the …

    OBITUARY
    David Leo Trautman, 75, of Union Gap died Friday at Good Samaritan Health Care Center in Yakima. He was born in Selah. He worked for Mac's Wholesale Meat Market for three years before serving in the Army between 1952 and 1954. He was a bookkeeper and manager with Westside National Bank in Yakima and First Interstate Bank in Mabton, from which he retired in 1987. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Trautman of Union Gap; four daughters, Debbie Metheny and Dianne Bigelow, both of Grandview, Darla Trautman of Seattle, and Davida Roberts of Goldendale; two sons, David Trautman Jr. of Sunnyside and Richard Leggett of Pleasanton, Calif.; a sister, Freda Gering of Yakima; a brother, Emil Trautman of Naples, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren. Viewing and visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside and from noon to 1 p.m. at the Stone Church in Yakima. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Stone Church. Burial will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
