In 1850, Squire was farming in Lee, Platte, Missouri, with his wife and five children. Farming next to Squire (whose motherâ„¢s maiden name was Creason) were the families of Andrew and Isaac Creason. Andrew and Isaacâ„¢s mother was Ruth Moody, daughter of Andrew Moody, but a connection has not yet been found.There is no trace of Squire and Nancy in the 1860 census, and two of their children were enumerated with other families.

By 1870, Sarah had married and moved to California. She and her husband and one-year-old son, Emmet (b. Oregon 1869) were living with Alfred and Melcena (Haun) Cowden in Washington, Alameda, California. Melcena was a first cousin to Emily Lynn, who married Sarahâ„¢s first cousin, George Washington Moody. In addition, Andrew and Seralda (Lynn) Whisman were Sarahâ„¢s neighbors in Alameda County in 1870.(Seralda was Emily (Lynn) Moodyâ„¢s sister.)
