Ruben Staiger, 82, died August 11, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. A funeral service will be on Fri. Aug. 17, at 11:00 a.m., at Century Baptist Church with Rev. Steier, officiating. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Visitation will be Thurs., Aug. 16 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Bismarck Funeral Home.
Ruben was born November 14, 1928 in Hebron, ND to John and Lydia Staiger. He attended Hebron Public schools. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Tina Ferderer in 1955; she passed away in 2001. He married Betty Sauter Schuetz, sweetheart of the past, in 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; his step-children, Nancy (Bruce) Kindsvogel; Jackie (Ron) Montgomery, Perry (Marilyn) Schuetz, Mandan; Randy (Barb) Schuetz, Statesville, NC; and Daniel Schuetz, Linton; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sisters, Olivia Huber and Bernice Wetzel Grosz.

Ruben heiratete Sauter, Betty L. in 2003. Betty (Tochter von Sauter, August und Herbold, Pauline) wurde geboren am 26 Mrz 1933 in ,, North Dakota, USA; gestorben am 28 Aug 2018 in Mandan, Morton County, North Dakota, USA; wurde beigesetzt in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck, Burleigh County, North Dakota, USA.
