By 1870, Sarah had married and moved to California. She and her husband and one-year-old son, Emmet (b. Oregon 1869) were living with Alfred and Melcena (Haun) Cowden in Washington, Alameda, California. Melcena was a first cousin to Emily Lynn, who married Sarahâ„¢s first cousin, George Washington Moody.
