Hays -- Gerald Joseph Weigel, 45, Hays, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at Salina Regional Health Center.
Mr. Weigel was born June 27, 1955, at Hays.
He worked in construction most of his life and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Hays.
Survivors include his wife, Paullette of the home; four daughters, Jennifer Weigel of Denver, Rayna Weigel of Hays and Danielle Weigel and Nicole Weigel, both of McCracken; two brothers, Thomas of Salina and Dennis of Gorham; a sister, Norma Schmidt of Wichita; his maternal grandmother, Sophia Herman of Victoria; his paternal grandmother, Marie Weigel of Victoria; and a grandchild.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine Church, Catherine, the Rev. Mike Scully officiating. Burial will be in St. Catherine Cemetery. An Eagles memorial service will be at 7 p.m. and a parish vigil at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays 67601.
Memorials may be made to Multiple Sclerosis. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
