    Walter Edward Feldner, 78, Donnybrook, died Monday in a Minot Nursing Home. The funeral was held Friday, Feb. 29 in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery, both Donnybrook. Officiating was Father Joseph Adkins, Beverly Miller was organist, and the church choir sang. Pallbearers were Francis and Leonard Goettle, Leonard Steinberger, Clarence Schultz, Chet Stroklund and Lowell Redding.
    The rosary recitation was held Thursday evening at the church.
    Mr. Feldner was born on June 11, 1908, at Donnybrook, a son of Carl and Ottilie Feldner. He was raised there.
    On July 15, 1933, at Kenmare, he married the former Norine Flaherty. Following their marriage they farmed in White Ash Township, Renville County, near Donnybrook until his death.
    He was active in Donnybrook community affairs, and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He served as a school bus driver for over 15 years and also was a rural mail carrier there for many years. He was White Ash Township assessor and held various offices on his township board. Mr. Feldner was also a member of the Des Lacs Valley Rifle Club, the 4-H, and the Boy Scouts, and was a past president of the Donnybrook School PTO.
    Surviving are his wife, Norine; three sons, Gary and Dean, both of Donnybrook, and Wayne of Minot; daughter, Mrs. Richard (Fay) Schnell of Mandan; five grandchildren; brothers, Otto Feldner of Minot, Lloyd of Manhatten, MT, Allen of Laurel, MT, and Kenneth of Devils Lake; two sisters, Mrs. William (Minnie) O'Neill of Bismarck, and Mrs. Lester (Myrtle) Kiesmeier of Denver, CO. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.

    Gary Walter Feldner, 70, Minot and formerly of Donnybrook, died Thursday in a Minot hospital.
    Gary was born on January 30, 1943 in Kenmare, N.D. to Walter and Norine (Flaherty) Feldner. He was reared on the family farm in White Ash Township of Renville County, attended school in Donnybrook and graduated from Donnybrook High School in 1961.During his high school years he was a member of the basketball and track teams as well as the American Legion and Babe Ruth baseball teams.
    He furthered his education at North Dakota State University where he was a Sergeant in the ROTC program. He transferred to Minot State University and in 1970 earned his Bachelor of Science in education with an emphasis in history and physical education. During this time he coached the Minot Model High School freshmen basketball team.
    Following his graduation, he was employed by Terhorst Manufacturing for thirteen years before beginning work on the oil rigs, eventually becoming a tool pusher. In addition, he assisted his family in the operation of the family farm and owned and operated the Feldner Motorcycle Race Course.
    Gary had resided on the farm near Donnybrook for many years prior to moving to Henry Towers in Minot three years ago. He retired due to a heart condition in 1991 and most recently had been battling prostate and bone cancer.
    Gary was a member of the Sportsman Motorcycle Club and received its Distinguished Service Award in 1972. He was an avid and award-winning bowler, motorcycle and snowmobile racer, and hunter.
    Gary's loving family includes his brothers: Wayne (Linda) Feldner of Minot, Dean (Cindy) Feldner of Donnybrook; nieces and nephews: Tana (Eric) Sorgaard, Sandi (Matt) Geiger, Dan Feldner (Janilee Mourning - fiancé) Valerie (Chad) Weigel and David (Jade) Feldner; seven grandnieces and grand- nephews and numerous cousins.
    Gary was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Fay Schnell.
    A private family service will be held.
    Interment will be in St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery.
