    Funeral services for Adeline Zimmerle, 91, of Elgin, ND will be Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elgin. Rev. Jerry Lee will officiate and burial will follow at the Zion Cemetery in Elgin. Visitations will be from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Elgin and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday morning. A family service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Funeral Home.
    ADELINE ROTH was born to Gottlieb and Katherine (Heinle) Roth at Glen Ullin, ND on May 30, 1916. When she was 6 months old her family moved to Odessa, a town west of New Leipzig, ND where Adeline received her education. She was confirmed in the German Congregational Church in Elgin and worked as a clerk in the Roth Jack and Jill Store for many years.
    In 1937 Adeline traveled to work as a Nanny in Salem, OR. Early on, she developed a love for all children and it continued throughout her life. Adeline was considered a "2nd Mother" by all of her nieces and nephews.
    Adeline was united in marriage to Richard Zimmerle on September 22, 1949. Adeline and Richard enjoyed raising a big garden every year. They canned and liked to share their produce with family and friends.
    Adeline Zimmerle entered the Jacobson Memorial Care Center in Elgin, ND in 2006, where she passed away on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008.
    Grateful for having shared in her life are her husband, Richard Zimmerle, of Elgin; brother, Oscar (Ann) Roth, of Salem, OR; sister, Magdalen Bliss, Salem, OR; three sisters-in-law, Clara Roth, Bentley, ND, Inez Roth, New Leipzig, ND and Dolores Roth, Salem, OR and numerous nieces and nephews. Adeline was preceded in death by her parents, 11 brothers and 4 sisters.

    Adeline heiratete Zimmerle, Richard am 22 Sep 1949 in Elgin, Grant County, North Dakota, USA. Richard (Sohn von Zimmerle, Johann und Zimbelmann, Elisabeth) wurde geboren am 11 Feb 1918 in Carson, Grant County, North Dakota, USA; gestorben am 15 Dez 2008 in Elgin, Grant County, North Dakota, USA; wurde beigesetzt in Zion Cemetery, Elgin, Grant County, North Dakota, USA.
