Text: Ardina C. Mettler Services: Sat., Jan. 5, 10 a.m. Services will be held at Grace Reformed Church, 420 Columbus Street on January 5, 2002 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Mortuary Park. The Reverend George Horner will officiate. Ardina C. Mettler was born in Menno, South Dakota on June 17, 1916 to Henry and Martha Zeeb and passed away Juanary 1, 2002 at Emmanuel Parkview Convalescent Hospital. Ardina married Roland Mettler in 1936 at which time they moved to Bakersfield. Ardina was a member of the Grace Reformed Church, the Ladies Society and the Germans from Russia Historical Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roland Mettler, son James Mettler and brother Ray Zeeb. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law Fredric and Kathleen Mettler of Bakersfield; one daughter and son-in-law Maureen and Joseph Wells of Bakersfield; grandchildren Joe and Tobbie Wells of Woodbridge, Mark and Deborah Stanley of Fresno, Greg and Stephanie Showers of Bakersfield, Stephen and Kellie Mettler of Bakersfield, Tara Wilcox and fiance Scott OConner of San Francisco, Fidel and Krista Gonzalez of Bakersfield, Stacie Mettler of Bakersfield and ten great grandchildren. One sister Anna Redman; two brothers and sisters-in-law Harold and Evelyn Zeeb and Peter and Irene Zeeb, all of Menno South Dakota and sister-in-law Erna Zeeb of Olivet, South Dakota; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Vernet and Alvin Weidenbach of Bakersfield and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family would like to thank the Staff of Emmanuel Parkview Convalescent Hospital where she was a resident for over five years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Reformed Church Living Memorial Fund or Optimal Hospice.
