A graveside service for Rachel Tahran Woehl Rivinius, 92, of Gackle, N.D. and formerly of Lodi, who died on April 9, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Garden of Last Supper at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi, with Pastor Perry Kallis officiating. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 801 S. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi. There is no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Temple Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 801 S. Lower Sacramento Rd., Lodi, CA 95242.
A Family Memorial Registry may be signed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Friday at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, near Beckman Road.

RIVINIUS, Rachel Tahran Woehl Of Sacramento, Calif., and formally of Lodi, Calif., age 92, passed away on April 9, 2008 in Sacramento. Rachel was born April 21, 1915 in Cleveland, N.D. She was the seventh of ten children born to William (Russia) and Rose Schaffer Tahran (German from Russia), who immigrated from Russia to America in 1913. In 1933 Rachel married Arthur Woehl and settled down in Lodi. She continued to live in Lodi after the death of Arthur in 1973. In 1977 she married Conrad Rivinius and returned to N.D. Following the death of Conrad, she moved back to California, where her children live.
Rachel is a charter member (1948) of Temple Baptist Church in Lodi, and was a very faithful and active member while living in Lodi. After she moved to Gackle, N.D., she was a faithful and active member of the Grace Baptist Church.
Rachel is survived by her two children, Jerilyn Woehl Winter of Sacramento, and Jerome Woehl of San Jose, Calif.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three stepchildren, Merrill and Ivan Rivinius, and Corrine Rivinius, of Gackle; five step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first and second husbands, and 9 siblings.
A graveside committal service will be held on Monday, April 21, 2008, at 1:00 p.m., in the Garden of Last Supper at CHEROKEE MEMORIAL PARK, Hwy 99 & Harney Lane, Lodi, with Pastor Perry Kallis officiating. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 801 S. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi.
Rachel requested, and the family requests, that in lieu of flowers, please send donations/memorials in her memory to Temple Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 801 S. Lower Sacramento Rd., Lodi, CA 95242. A Family Memorial Registry may be signed at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, near Beckman Road, on April 16-18, from 9:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. CHEROKEE MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family with arrangements.
