Earl was born at 1pm on November 16, 1915 in Elgin, Kane, Illinois. He weighed 5 3/4 lbs. Earl was a switchman for the Milwaukee Railroad for 23 years. He acquired 232 months of railroad service and his earnings were $78,108.43. He met and married Catherine Stoddard(born December 24, 1919 in Wausau, Marathon, Wisconsin) on May 6, 1939 in Elgin, Illinois.Earl served in the United States Army from March 5, 1941 to July 11, 1945. Earl was a staff sergeant in the "I" Company of the 129th Infantry. His serial number was #20603148. He earned the good Conduct Medal on August 26, 1943.Earl lived at 271 S. May St. in Bensenville, Illinois. Earl and Catherine were members of the Bensenville VFW Post 2149. Earl died on December 1, 1966 and was buried at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois. He was located in Grove 2 Lot 49 Block 2 Section 35.In 1980, Catherine remarried Don Citta. Catherine passed away on October 11, 2000. (Don preceded her in death several months earlier). She was cremated and her ashes were buried at Mount Hope Cemetery in Elgin, Illinois.
