      Lincoln resident, Eleanor "Ellie"¨ A. Chambers, 79, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 9, at the Federated Church in Sutton with Rev. Mary Scott and Rev. Michael Ryan officiating. Interment will follow at the Sutton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 ¡V 8 p.m. Thursday at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be designated later. Condolences may be left at www.suttonmemorial. Lincoln resident, Eleanor "Ellie" A. Chambers, 79, entered into eternal peace Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln, NE.
      Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2018, at the Federated Church in Sutton with Rev. Mary Scott and Rev. Michael Ryan officiating. Interment will follow at the Sutton Cemetery.
      Eleanor "Ellie" A. Chambers was born October 10, 1938, in Sutton to Calvin and Marie (Brandner) Serr. She attended country school through 8th grade before entering and graduating from Sutton High School in 1956.
      She moved to Lincoln and worked at State Farm Insurance. She was married Maurice Yost on February 14, 1959. They moved to California while Maury was in the service and returned to Sutton in 1960. She helped open Maury's Place in 1965 and was also a homemaker.
      Ellie was baptized and confirmed at the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Sutton. Ellie and her daughter, Angie, moved to Lincoln in 1992. She was later a member of Southwood Lutheran Church in Lincoln where she enjoyed being involved with the church and volunteered to usher as well. She married David L. Chambers on May 21, 1995.
      Ellie was the member of many committees and groups, including the Sutton Legion Auxiliary. She had many hobbies, as she was an avid sewer, quilter, crafter, and cake-decorator. She also owned several craft stores while living in Sutton that were full of her own talent and others.
      Ellie enjoyed spending precious time with her grandchildren, as well as quilting, traveling to Disneyworld, dancing, volunteering at the hospital, and Husker Football. She also enjoyed spending her winters in Mesa, Arizona, where she made a lot of friends and was a member of the Resort Quilting Group.
      Survivors include her husband, David of Lincoln, NE; daughter, Angie and husband, Jason Bringenberg of Lincoln, NE; son, Ty and wife Annette of Sutton, NE; four grandchildren, Ellie Bringenberg, Jillian Bringenberg, Shelby Yost, and Brody Yost; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Serr and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family.
      She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Marie; sister, Doris; brother, Ray Serr; brother, Fred Serr; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Lawrence Schmidt; niece, Pamela Schmidt; nephew, Don Stevens, great-niece, Kourtney Robbins, and previous husband, Maurice Yost.
