      Agnes Dorothy Haines (nee Fuhrmann), age 80, a resident of Wheaton, IL, formerly of Naperville, IL 1971-1983, died peacefully Thursday, January 29, 2009 at her home. She was born January 8, 1929 in Baylor, MT.
      Agnes is survived by two children, Jeff (Pam) Haines of Naperville and Debbie (David Rubenstein) Haines of Lisle, IL; and two grandchildren, Guy and Ryan Haines; eight siblings, Roy, Vesta, Hank, LaFern, Cletus, Bobby, Jerome and Betty Gae; and many nieces and nephews.
      She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy A. Haines, Jr. on October 6, 2005; her parents, Fred and Dorothea Fuhrmann; and three siblings: Donny, Judy and Gary.
      Agnes grew up in Glasgow, MT and was a graduate and the first homecoming queen of Glasgow High School. She later attended Western Union School, Chico, CA, where she met her future husband, Guy, who was serving in the U. S. Marine Corps. and they married November 25, 1948.
      Agnes and Guy lived in many different places throughout their lives including Kansas City, MO, Garden City, KS, Rapid City, SD, Fargo, ND, Moorhead, MN, Glenview, IL, Louisville, KY, and Naperville, IL. While living in Naperville, Agnes worked at Oswald's Pharmacy, was a volunteer at Little Friends, Inc and attended Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. They next moved to Greendale, WI, where Agnes belonged to the local women's club and Par Four golf group, before moving back to the Chicago area where she continued to enjoy her love of golf and bridge and attended Community Christian Church.
      Throughout her life, Agnes enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, fishing, entertaining and she especially loved to read.
      Agnes was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother as well as a friend and mentor to many. She had a love and heart for Jesus, a zest for life, a sense of humor, a green thumb, a gourmet's touch and a gentle, healing spirit.
      She will be missed by everyone she leaves here as she journeys home.
      The family wishes to thank the caring staff of Brighton Gardens in Wheaton as well as Vitas Hospice.
      Visitation and a Memorial Service will be held at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S Mill Street, Naperville, IL on Tuesday, February 3rd, with visitation from 3:30 7:00 p.m. and the memorial service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
      Private interment at Naperville Cemetery.
