Arthur Ebel, 82, Medina, died Monday, May 10, 2004, in his home.
Mr. Ebel was born Oct. 21, 1921, in Jamestown, N.D. He grew up and attended school near Medina. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946. On Nov. 25, 1948, he married Arlene Moser in Medina. He worked as a meat cutter and store manager for several Red Owl stores in North Dakota before becoming co-owner of the store in Napoleon from 1959 to 1964. He also worked as a sales representative for Groves Kelco and was employed by the Medina Public School for several years, before working for Medina Farmers Union.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Gary (Kate), Grand Forks, N.D., Randy, Devils Lake, N.D.; a daughter, Lori Ebel, Medina; two brothers, Harry (Phyllis), Mobridge, S.D., Oscar (Helena), Bismarck; and three sisters, Martha (Gottfried) Dewald, Streeter, N.D., Arlene O'Brien, Lodi, Calif., Violet (Allen) Joachim, Aberdeen, S.D.
Visitation: Today from 1 to 5 and Thursday from 9 to 9, with a prayer service at 7, in Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Funeral: Friday at 1:30 in United Methodist Church, Medina.
