      Paul B. Arduser, age 95, of Monticello, died Tuesday evening, February 11, 2003 at St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness.
      Funeral services will be held 11:00 Monday morning, February 17, 2003 at the Peace United Church of Christ, Monticello with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery with Military Honors. Rev. Peter Wenzel will officiate at the services. Friends may call from 2 until 8 Sunday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello.
      Surviving are 2 sons, David (Connie) Arduser and Ron (Peg) Arduser, both of Monticello, 4 grandchildren, Angie, Brett (Michelle) Jason and Jamie Arduser, and a great-Grandson Cole, and 2 sisters, Tillie Monk and Hulda Behrends both of Monticello.
      He was preceded in death by his Parents, his wife, Myrtle, an infant Son and 2 sisters, Monica Rodman and Dora Decker.
      Paul B. Arduser was born July 13, 1907 in Lovell Township, Jones County, Iowa. He was the son of John and Christina Balsiger, Arduser. Paul received his education in the rural schools of Lovell Township.
      He then started farming until he was inducted into the United States Army during WWII.
      Paul Arduser and Myrtle Aman were married August 23, 1944 at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Following Pauls return from service in 1945 the couple lived in Monticello.
      He started working as a carpenter with Louis Burrack. Paul built over 50 houses in his career and many other structures in the Monticello area.
      He served on the Monticello City Council and the Planning and Zoning Board. He was also a long time member of the Lions Club and a lifetime member of the Monticello Chamber of Commerce. He was very committed to his Church and the Monticello Community.
