Elaine R. Shevokas, 73, of rural Granville passed away at 10:05 p.m. Jan. 25, 2016, in St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Granville. The Rev. Patrick DeMeulemeester will officiate. Burial will be at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Spring Valley.
Visitation will be 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday in Helmer-Shields Funeral Home, Granville.
She was born Jan. 18, 1942, to Earl and Rose (Pinter) Gillan. She married John Shevokas on Feb. 23, 1963, in St. Anthony’s Church, Cherry.
Mrs. Shevokas worked for Spring Valley City Bank, Anderson Microfilming in Granville for 15 years and was a housewife. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Church, Mothers Club of Mark and Putnam County PTA.
Mrs. Shevokas is survived by her husband, John of rural Granville; one son, Russell (Brenda) Shevokas of rural Granville; three daughters, July (Ray) Brucki of Peru, Kathy (Jason) Mucci of Chicago and Janet (Lincoln) Frost III of Princeton; 13 grandchildren, Amy (Mike Aho) Shevokas, Kyle Shevokas, Brandon (Amy) Brucki, Andrea Shevokas, Jessica Brucki, Jaclyn Brucki, Lauren Frost, Emma Frost, Olivia Mucci, Angela Frost, Elena Mucci, Julia Mucci and Lincoln Frost IV; one great-grandson, Grayson Aho; two brothers, Wesley (Joyce) Gillan of Cherry and Roger (Mary) Gillan of Davis; and one sister, Marjorie Corrigan of Cedar Point.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Doreen Shevokas in 1973; a grandson, Jacob John Shevokas in 1983; and two brothers, Vern and Raymond Gillan.
Pallbearers will be Russell Shevokas, Kyle Shevokas, Ray Brucki, Brandon Brucki, Lincoln Frost III and Jason Mucci.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
